Wax Model service information

As a model for our waxing services, you play a crucial role in helping our estheticians perfect their craft using waxing techniques. This information page provides essential details about what you should expect as a waxing model, including the benefits, risks, and frequently asked questions.

Our services include:

Sugar waxing, which uses a natural paste of sugar, water, and lemon juice, and is applied and removed by hand.


Hard waxing, where a thick wax solidifies on the skin and is removed without cloth strips.

Soft waxing, where a soft wax with the consistency of warmed honey, is applied to the skin by either a wax stick or a roller device, and is removed with a cloth strip.

About model services

  • As a model, you will be allowing a trainee esthetician to perform a waxing service on you, under the supervision of a experienced professional. Although it is very unlikely, there is a slightly increased risk that the service may come with complications.

  • A higher risk of adverse reactions including bruising, broken hairs, leftover hairs, or irritation.

  • As a practice model, my appointment may be moved, cancelled, or changed to a different esthetician without notice.

  • You will be required to fill out a wax model consent form before your appointment. Any other reqired forms will also need to be filled out.

  • No other discount or bundle may be used with this 50% deal.

  • We only offer certain services for certain areas and certain body parts. Please refer to our booking page for a list of all services we provide before calling to book your model service.

    All model calls for Sugar wax on the Brazilian and bikini areas are only for clients with vulvas. We do not perform sugar waxing services on penises at the moment.

  • As a practice model you must be aware that the service may take much longer than usual, as the esthetician practicing on you is inexperienced, and will be being guided and trained by an experienced esthetician. Please be patient.

FAQs

Will there be a trained and experienced esthetician present while im recieving my model service?

Yes, there will be an experienced esthetician teaching and guiding the waxer in training. This ensures that things are being done properly and the trainee is being able to be taught the proper technique throughout the entire service. Please be aware this is a class like setting, there could be 1-3 estheticians in the room providing the service, or observing the service.

What services do you offer model services for?

We provide sugaring, hard waxing, and soft waxing. Depending on what service the waxer needs to practice on, we will accept models for those services.

What is the cost of a model service?

At The Wax House we offer a 50% discount to all services we will need practice models for. Offering a 50% discount to practice models allows our salon to provide essential hands-on training for trainees while maintaining service quality under expert supervision, which builds client loyalty and ensures continuous improvement. For clients, it provides an opportunity to receive waxing services at a reduced cost, support the education of future professionals, and explore different waxing options affordably.

How will i know when the opportunity to be a wax models becomes available?

We will send out a text whenever we need a new round of models for current services and any future services we may offer. You can book by calling our salon and speaking with our receptionist. Spots are typically limited and on a first come first serve basis.
